The Vacancy

We are seeking a highly skilled 3rd Line IT Infrastructure Engineer to join our dynamic IT team. You will be responsible for providing 3rd line support and working on projects across the Group’s cloud infrastructure services, covering all things cloud including Intune, Windows 11, Azure and Office 365 and other SaaS and PaaS services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Investigate and resolve 3rd line support issues, working closely with suppliers when required.
  • Maintain and support the IT Infrastructure in line with agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Deliver managed changes and updates to IT infrastructure.
  • Support company project teams in the technical delivery of IT projects.
  • Provide reports and data to ensure the stable operation of services.
  • Communicate effectively with all levels of the business, including senior leadership and Directors.

Technical Expertise & Knowledge

  • Experience supporting an IT environment of 1,000+ seats.
  • Strong expertise in:
    • Windows Server & Active Directory
    • Microsoft Azure, Windows Desktop, Office 365, MS Teams, SharePoint
    • Exchange/SMTP/365 messaging support & administration
    • Mobile device management
    • Network infrastructure
    • Virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V/Azure)
    • PowerShell
    • Qualys or Tenable or other vulnerability management platform

Qualifications & Experience

  • Experience providing 3rd line IT Infrastructure support in a FTSE 250 size company or equivalent with 1,000+ end users.
  • Attained or working towards certifications such as:
    • CCNA or HP equivalent, MCSE / Windows Server CCA – Entry level and ITIL
  • Experience of managing/applying security patches for Cyber Essentials Plus or equivalent compliance

  • Ability to work under pressure and deliver high-quality results.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills – able to translate complex technical issues to non-technical users.
  • Strong customer-facing skills with a professional and proactive approach.
  • Networking & connectivity diagnosis skills with good fault interpretation abilities.
  • Ability to work within structured IT frameworks (ITIL, PRINCE II).
