SHE Advisor

The Vacancy

Wates Group have an opportunity for a SHE Advisor to join our Advanced Manufacturing project in the Sunderland area.

As a SHE Advisor, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring Health & Safety (H&S) compliance and best practices across regional operations. Your primary responsibilities will involve providing support, guidance, and coaching to project teams, operations personnel, and supply chain partners to ensure effective deployment of the company’s SHE policy.

As our SHE Advisor you will:

• Stay updated with current and forthcoming health, safety, and environmental (SHE) legislation.
• Assist in maintaining the Company’s SHE Management System and associated documentation.
• Support Directors, Managers, Department Heads, and Supervisors in implementing the Company SHE Policy.
• Conduct site visits and inspections to:
  • Monitor safety and environmental performance.
  • Produce SHE Support Reports for management.
  • Investigate and advise on hazardous practices or operations, with the authority to cease work if necessary, until remedial actions are taken.
• Review and manage absence due to work-related accidents or injuries, ensuring reportable occurrences are notified to relevant enforcing authorities.
