The Vacancy

Wates Group have an exciting position as an Assistant Framework Manager, to support day-to-day framework management activities to ensure consistent delivery of objectives, effective governance, client relationship management, and re-bid activities, as well as develop and manage performance measurement and reporting systems to drive improvement.

Main Accountabilities of the role include:

  • Work with the Framework Leads and Performance Administrator to measure and report project and framework performance at quarterly reviews and to provide insights for improvement.
  • Support framework win plans, prequalification, and bid execution to secure a place on strategic frameworks.
  • Contribute to framework and sector strategy research.
  • Assist in maintaining trusted relationships with framework teams and clients.
  • Support the governance of framework objectives and commitments.
  • Contribute to marketing and public relations activities to retain and secure clients.
  • Share innovation, best practices, and sector knowledge with internal teams.
  • Manage timely communication and pipeline opportunities using Salesforce CRM.

Communication and Influence: assist with preparing accurate framework performance dashboards and support as required with collation of monthly client framework performance data. Participate in public sector team presentations and briefings to effectively communicate performance insights and strategic updates.

Financial Responsibility: Support reporting on the framework pipeline and fee collection, as well as framework-level cost, time, and benefits of project performance. Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting to support decision-making and strategic planning.

People Responsibility: influencing and leading by example to foster a collaborative and high-performing team environment. Working with framework leads, manage and develop relationships with internal colleagues, external consultants, and framework teams to ensure alignment with project goals and standards.

To be successful you will have knowledge of public sector framework environment and bid management strategies, coupled with a degree or vocational experience in bidding/framework management, or a business management background. You will have Strong communication, relationship-building, problem-solving, and IT skills (Excel, PowerPoint, data analysis).

This offer will be conditional on the successful candidate being able to obtain National Security Vetting clearance at SC level, due to some of the clients we work with.
