Wates have an opportunity for a Business Administrator to join our team in Finsbury Park. We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Business Administrator to provide essential support to our Business Development team. As the Business Administrator, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth functioning of day-to-day administrative operations, enabling the business development team to focus on achieving their targets and delivering exceptional service to our clients.

Key Accountabilities will include:


  • Provide administrative support to the business development team, including but not limited to managing correspondence, preparing reports, and maintaining accurate records.
  • Coordinate and schedule meetings, appointments, and travel arrangements for business development team members.
  • Collaborate closely with the business development team to ensure seamless coordination and communication among team members.
  • Assist in the preparation of sales proposals, contracts, and presentations as needed.
  • Maintain and update sales-related databases, CRM systems, and other relevant records to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Generate and analyse sales reports, providing insights to support informed decision-making by the business development team and management.
  • Serve as a point of contact for customer inquiries, providing timely and professional support to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Assist in managing customer accounts, facilitating order processing, and resolving customer issues in a timely manner.
  • Assist in tracking and monitoring business development team expenses, including travel, entertainment, and other related costs.

Qualifications and Skills:


  • Proven experience in an administrative role, ideally within a construction or sales environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and experience with CRM systems.
  • Exceptional organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact with team members and clients professionally.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability to meet changing business needs.
