We have an opportunity for a Resident Liaison Officer to join our Wates team within our Planned Maintenance division. You will be working out of our SE London/Dartford office on one of our social housing contracts, delivering support to our residents.Key Accountabilities will include: Set up, undertake and manage the Tenant/Customer/Resident Liaison Service across multiple sites. Attend regular client representative and tenant meetings to ensure highest level of customer service is provided at all times. Ensure a consistent approach to customer care is adopted, Manage the Tenant’s Complaints procedures as a point of escalation. Maintain and update the on-site Database to reflect on-going works.You must have a full UK driving licence with access to a vehicle.You will be an experienced RLO with proven track record of successfully managing the workload across planned maintenance programmes. As well as having a strong knowledge of internal and external programmes, you will be a strong communicator with excellent customer service and IT skills.Given the nature of this position, you will need to undergo a Basic Disclosure and Barring Service Check (DBS) at offer stage. Site Surveyor

Here at Wates, we have a opportunity for Site Surveyor to join our Living Space Responsive team in the Northampton/Huntingdon area. The focus of this role will be to produce the commercial outputs and effectively monitor/exercise cost control, as well as to liaise with client representative/s to ensure compliance with contractual service standards ensuring the company operates efficiently and profitably. Working within the responsive team you are working on projects within the social housing/local authorities/councils market so we are ideally looking for you to have previous experience in that remit. Key Accountabilities will include: Producing Applications, Accounts & Invoices in the appropriate format in a timely manner To ensure all costs incurred in the delivery of the service are appropriately coded, recorded authorised and recovered To assist in the production of management information and performance reports (internal and external) monthly in approved formats To keep commercial WIP and debt to an absolute minimum and in line with targets set by management To ensure the timely production of valuations leading to invoice production within 9 calendar days of works completion To provide support and enhance communication between WLS and the client. We are looking for someone with financial and commercial awareness with a clear commitment to a customer-centres service. Ideally you will already be in a similar position and have experience within the social housing sector. To be successful in this role you will be an excellent written and verbal communicator with an understanding of legislation in maintenance and property management.

You will be working out of our Walsall office on one of our social housing contracts.Key Accountabilities will include: Produce commercial reports both internally and externally to the company Ensure the timely receipt of quotations for materials, equipment and Sub-subcontract works, undertake commercial assessment of quotes received and ensure the timely placement of orders on commercially advantageous terms to facilitate project delivery and ensure business objectives are met. Regularly complete on site measurements/ take offs Ensure all contractual processes are completed on timeWe are looking for a good work ethic and the ability to work under a Project Surveyor and within a team of Surveyors of different levels of knowledge.To be successful in the role you will be able to liaise with Client and have the personal skills to create effective relationships with the team.

Document Controller

We have an opportunity for a Document Controller to join our Wates team within our Planned Maintenance division. You will be working out of our Sheffield office on one of our planned contracts.Key Accountabilities will include: Maintain, issue and distribute controlled copies of information ensuring compliance with all aspects of the design management procedures. Liaise with designers and specialist suppliers on queries regarding issues of information. Provide training to participants, designers and specialist suppliers on the project on how to use the drawing management system. Check information on drawings and troubleshoot any problems to do with the drawing management system and peripherals. Use document management and other management/collaboration tools as necessary to meet project requirements.We are looking for an experienced document controller with knowledge of contract documentation, environmental legislation and issues, risk management and life cycle cost; preferably gained within a similar environment.To be successful in this role you will have a keen eye for detail with exceptional organisational skills, the ability to work effectively in a team, along with a “can do” approach.Wates are committed to the fair treatment of people with criminal records, including employees and potential employees.
