Here at Wates we have an opportunity for a Electrical Improver/Handyperson to join our client-based team, covering our client – London Borough of Enfield’s (LBE) sites across the area.Key Accountabilities will include: Ensure that all planned and reactive maintenance tasks are delivered to agreed timelines and SLA’s / KPI’s, including emergency lighting, and remedial works Responsibility for ensuring that all relevant help desk calls (both planned and reactive) are fully completed with sufficient information and are either; signed off or a work order is created within our system, and returned for further scheduling Oversee associated specialist Sub Contractors working on sites and ensure they fulfil their obligations of their contracts and undertake their work effectively and safely Adopt a pro-active approach to engagement with other LBE service providers and vendors, with demonstrable evidence of relationship building and partneringWe are looking for you to have worked in a similar role as a Handyman / Small Works Technician -with a good working knowledge of occupational health and safety, statutory regulations, and codes of practice applicable to the maintenance division. You will have worked in a similar role covering multiple sites and be familiar with corrective works and emergency lighting testing and maybe worked previously as an electrical mate or completed their 18th edition.To be successful in the role you will have a sound judgement with excellent interpersonal skills, always focusing on achieving high standards and quality assurance, and hold a clean driving license as this vacancy will attract a works van to enable coverage of the sites.The successful candidate would be required to work a day shift of four days on 4 days off.
