Sandwiched between three existing Grade I listed buildings, the original boiler house was demolished and rebuilt by us.
Together with adjacent refurbishments, it creates a double-height underground gallery, courtyard café, shop, education spaces, support facilities, alongside a new museum entrance.
The 1,100sqm Sainsbury Gallery provides one of the UKs largest column-free temporary exhibition spaces, transforming how the V&A presents its exhibition programme.
