Liberty provides domestic property maintenance as well as heating & compliance services and decarbonisation expertise, maintaining more than 180,000 homes in the UK.

Steve, a founding board member for Wates Property Services – comprising the Living Space, Liberty and FM businesses – has held numerous senior positions including Director of Operations, Regional Managing Director and most recently, Strategy Director, affording him a wealth of industry knowledge and experience to drive Liberty forward.

With more than 35 years’ experience working in all aspects of the built environment and 28 years with Wates, Steve has been a WPS Board member for 18 years. He was instrumental in creating Wates’ retrofit proposition, leading work with decarbonisation that has supported clients to access over £100m of Government funding to deliver fabric first and renewable works to social housing.

Having already been working closely with the Liberty team, he will focus on effectively integrating the team as well as growing the business in the coming years.
