We’ve made two significant hires to our leadership team, strengthening our Wates’ Property Services business – which provides social housing maintenance alongside facilities management.

After expanding our property services offer with the acquisition of Liberty in October 2024, we now employ almost 3,000 people and reported turnover of £364million for 2023, representing an increase of more than 50% on 2022’s figures.

To support our continued growth ambitions, Paul Maghie has joined as Business Growth Director. He brings more than 30 years’ experience in construction, with most recent roles held at United Living Property Services and Bailey Garner.

Mark Wiles has also joined the FM team as Business Development and Work-winning Director, bringing a wealth of FM experience gained through roles at ISS, NG Bailey, Interserve and Emcor to support our FM growth ambitions.

2024 topped off five years of progressive growth for us, doubling the turnover of our FM portfolio and the Property Services business overall.
