Wates To Grow Public Sector Portfolio with Framework Appointment

The appointment has seen Wates become a CCS supplier for Lot 2A and 2B of the framework, through which it will provide facilities management for a range of public sector bodies, including schools, hospitals and Government departments.
Crown Commercial Service supports the public sector to achieve maximum commercial value when procuring common goods and services. In 2020/21, CCS helped the public sector to achieve commercial benefits equal to £2.04bn – supporting world-class public services that offer best value for taxpayers.
CCS’s new Facilities Management and Workplace Services Framework is aligned to the Government’s Sourcing Playbook and has an emphasis on quality, for which Wates FM scored very highly in the areas of sustainability, service delivery and continuous improvement.
Social value will form a significant part of contract delivered through the framework, reflecting Wates FM’s own commitment to ensuring diversity and inclusion, creating opportunities for training and employment and embedding social enterprises within its supply chain.
The appointment has seen Wates Group build on its current position as a CCS supplier, which includes a number of CCS’s suite of buildings frameworks. These include CCS’s Construction Works and Associated Works and the Government Hubs Fit-Out Framework.
CCS supports the public sector to achieve maximum commercial value when procuring common goods and services. Its new Facilities Management and Workplace Services Framework replaces the Facilities Management Marketplace agreement.
