The announcement marks the third successive appointment for Wates to the NWCH followings its position on the medium and high value frameworks in 2010, and the loc, medium and high value frameworks in 2014.
Paul Dodsworth, Managing Director of Wates Construction North, commented:
Since being established in 2009, the North West Construction Hub has not only facilitated the efficient procurement of almost 400 public sector projects but it has also cultivated a collaborative forum through which best practice can be shared.
We are extremely proud to have been a NWCH contracting partner from day one and our appointment to the new High Value Framework is an acknowledgement of our ability to constantly evolve the service we provide for our clients, as well as the values we share with the North West Construction Hub.
A big part of this is our commitment to creating extensive and sustainable social value opportunities through our projects. Last year this included our work with Stockport Council at Redrock, through which we supported 37 apprentices and carried out a series of education programmes with Stockport College and University of Salford. We very much look forward to building on this fantastic work.
Since its establishment in 2009, the NWCH has delivered 374 projects for 101 clients, worth more than £1.8bn. Projects have been completed across Cumbria, Greater Manchester, Lancashire, Merseyside, and Cheshire through the framework.
