INSPIRING COMMUNITIES FOR THE BETTER
Embedding social value throughout our business.
After piloting the scheme last year, we will once again work with students in Wandsworth as part of our innovative Beacon work experience programme. Our people are also mentoring students to support them on topics like university applications as well as interview and revision techniques.
How green technology at home can support the transition to net zero.
Wates launched an innovative new education programme to give young people hands on experience of how green technology at home can support the transition to net zero.
For the first time ever, the programme will include ‘House of the Future’ kits that will be used in technology lessons to support the Government’s sustainability and climate change strategy for education.
The kit, which is being made from recycled materials, follows the modular design of our houses and students will be able to control and measure the sustainable functions of the house remotely via a dedicated app.
