Fire Compliance Works in Healthcare Estates
We understand the NHS is facing unprecedented challenges across the entire estate including budgetary pressures, a £10bn+ maintenance backlog and the drive to become the world’s first net zero health service by 2040.
Also accelerating up the agenda, particularly post-Grenfell, is the critical issue of fire compliance. The devastating impact of the fire captured the nation’s attention and has been a catalyst for systemic change to ensure better and safer buildings ever since. For example, implementation of the resulting Building Safety Act 2022 will clearly have a significant impact on works carried out across hospital sites moving forward, with additional approval gateways now required prior to work being undertaken.
