We manage highly specialised and critical resilience projects for our customers in the emergency services, from new build projects to internal refurbishment and the fit-out of buildings, stations, offices and training facilities.

We have completed two years of a five-year, £8.5m fire station refurbishment programme for Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service.
This is the second phase of an investment to modernise 19 fire stations across the county, which has so far seen extensive upgrades to fire stations in Runcorn, Birchwood, Sandbach, Middlewich, Widnes, Northwich, Holmes Chapel and Audlem.
Each fire station has been fitted with a new roof and insulation, new windows and doors, and new appliance doors. Toilets, showers and communal areas, as well as office spaces have all been refurbished.
The stations have been fitted with new gyms for colleagues, as well as community rooms that can be used by the public at some stations.
Our priority during these refurbishments has been to ensure that the stations continue to respond to emergency calls as required. This has been managed via various risk mitigation strategies and careful programme management to reduce impact on services.
Delivered through the Procure Partnerships Framework, the project forms part of a wider programme to improve facilities at fire stations across Cheshire.
In just two years we have delivered £2.1m worth of social value. Working with Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service, we developed a five-year community impact plan, including the commitment to employ local suppliers, creating opportunities for employment and training and engaging with local students.
The team was joined by three apprentices via YSB Ltd, throughout the year, and the project also provided careers talks and arranged work experience for local students.
We continued our social value investment throughout the programme’s second year with activities including virtual work experience through The Prince’s Trust’s Kickstart scheme, designed to support 16 – 24 year olds into employment.
The team spent £10k with social enterprises, including Recycling Lives, which reinvests its profit to rehabilitate ex-offenders.
