Charles Wates
Director
Charlie joined the Wates Group in 2005. In 2006 he founded Needspace our managed workspace company, and was managing director until January 2022.
He joined the Board in 2011 and is also Chairman of the Next Generation Committee.
Before joining Wates he was a chartered surveyor with over ten years’ experience in the commercial property sector with firms including Jones Lang LaSalle.
Outside of the company, he is a member of the British Council of Offices and the British Property Federation. He is on the Board of Management, Estates Committee and Finance Committee of the Royal Alexandra & Albert School, and he is a governor of the Emanuel School.
