We are working together with Lloyds Banking Group to pioneer sustainable technologies in a bid to accelerate the built environment’s transition to net zero carbon.
The new collaboration follows the launch of the Wates Innovation Network (WIN) Portal in 2021, a first-of-its-kind and free to use network that connects built environment customers to market-leading sustainable technologies and services.
Seeking new energy-efficient innovations
We are working together with Lloyds Banking Group to seek out new energy-efficient innovations to form an elite network of green tech businesses, adding to the WIN Portal’s current network of 45 Innovation Partners.
The aim will be for the technologies to be piloted on their estate of properties, helping them achieve their operational pledges to reduce energy consumption, carbon emissions and water use. The collaboration builds on the businesses’ existing relationship, which includes a ten-year programme of fit-out works by Wates across Lloyds Banking Group’s estate.
The development and launch of the WIN Portal was very much a collaborative process with our suppliers, our colleagues and our customers and it was always our intention to continue this partnership approach.
Our vision for the WIN Portal is three-fold; we aim to boost our industry’s move towards zero carbon; we are committed to supporting emerging green tech businesses, many of which are SMEs; and we want to support our customers meet their carbon reduction commitments. Working With Lloyds Banking Group will undoubtedly strengthen the network.”
