Wates retains position on Southern Construction Framework
Wates has retained its place on the fourth generation Southern Construction Framework (SCF), which promises a potential £5.25bn pipeline of work across the South.
Securing a place on all three lots, Wates will continue to hold its place on the current framework until the end of April when the renewed framework comes into force. The lots cover South West England, South East England and London.
The successful appointment comes in the same month that Wates has been named finalist in the Constructing Excellence South East Centre for the Built Environment (SECBE) Awards for work carried out through the SCF where it currently tops the list of contractors for customer satisfaction KPIs. Shortlisted in the Outstanding Customer Satisfaction Category, Wates has been selected for its work on Hammersmith Police Station.
Retaining a position on the SCF will expose Wates to a host of exciting projects across the South. The current generation framework has delivered over £2.5bn of public projects, adding more than £110m of value for 75 public sector clients across the South West, South East, and London. The framework is a joint initiative between Hampshire County Council and Devon County Council.

Wates Construction is one of 11 businesses appointed to SCF4 and one of six appointed to all three lots. The new framework will run for four years.
Examples of previous works undertaken through the SCF framework include: Palace of Westminster Fire Safety Upgrade Project, Milbank House for Parliamentary Estates, Dunstable Leisure Centre for Central Bedfordshire Council and the award-shortlisted Hammersmith Police Station project.
