We have successfully sold land in Chesterton with permission for up to 147 new homes

We are pleased to announce the successful completion of the sale of land in Chesterton, Oxfordshire, to Bellway Homes, paving the way for much-needed new housing in the area.
Located south of Green Lane, the site has outline planning permission from Cherwell District Council (CDC) for up to 147 high-quality and sustainable homes, with 35% designated as affordable housing. This development will significantly contribute to addressing local housing needs in Cherwell, where 1,118 new homes per year are required to meet Government targets.
Following the submission of a planning application in January 2023, the site was recognised in CDC’s Emerging Local Plan as a sustainable location for residential development. Our proposals were shaped in line with Local Plan policy and informed by extensive consultation with the Council, key stakeholders — including the Parish Council and Chesterton Football Club — as well as the wider community. The feedback we received played a crucial role in refining the plans to ensure they align with local needs and aspirations.
