Outline Planning Application Submitted for 350 New Homes in Crawley Down, Mid Sussex

We are pleased to announce the submission of an outline planning application for up to 350 new homes in Crawley Down, Mid Sussex.
Located on land off Turners Hill Road and Huntsland, this development will deliver much-needed, high-quality housing, including 105 affordable homes. The scheme plays a crucial role in supporting Mid Sussex’s housing targets, with the district requiring 1,356 new homes per year to meet Government guidelines. Since 2021, an average of 1,140 new homes have been delivered annually, highlighting the importance of this development in helping Mid Sussex District Council bridge the shortfall.
Our proposals have been carefully shaped in line with Local Plan policy following extensive consultation with the Council, key stakeholders, and the local community. Feedback has been instrumental in refining the plans to ensure they reflect local priorities and aspirations.

A key feature of the development is its commitment to green space and community well-being. More than 60% of the site will remain undeveloped, incorporating publicly accessible landscaped areas, biodiversity-rich zones, and new walking routes. The plans also include ‘St Leonards Lookout’—a dedicated community space featuring a bandstand, picnic area, children’s play area, and community orchards, designed to foster social interaction and enhance local amenities.
