We are currently recruiting for a Customer Care Advisor to join our fabulous team on a full time, permanent basis. We’re looking for someone who has a passion for delivering outstanding customer service whilst being professional and friendly at all times! It’d be amazing (but not essential) if you have previous experience of working on an FM Helpdesk in a busy environment because this is what you’ll be doing: • Delivering great customer service to our clients and contractors • Building outstanding working relationships with our clients, contractors and other functions within the business • Managing emails and phone calls • Dealing with enquiries from clients and contractors • Supporting clients and contractors with any queries • Assigning jobs to contractors within an agreed time frame • Chasing up jobs that have not been accepted/attended to • Managing and updating business-critical issues daily • Updating systems to ensure complete transparency • Ensuring that maintenance work is processed in a timely manner • Communicating with contractors daily, to minimise overdue work • Challenging unnecessary call-outs and response times • Working closely with site managers and engineers to ensure a one-team approach to management of maintenance issues • Operating and being measured against business KPIs • Demonstrating professionalism at all times This particular position will involve the raising and administration of a high volume of quoted works so if that is a process you are familiar with then please apply! Electrician

Here at Wates we have an opportunity for an Electrician to join our Living Space team on our responsive maintenance contract in the Redditch/Birmingham/Coventry areaThe primary focus of this role will be to carry out the Electrical Installation Condition Report as well as additional tasks to achieve first time fix and deliver a high standard of workmanship in a timely and productive manner always affording excellent customer service to the client. Key Accountabilities will include: Undertaking repair/ renewal works within your Electricians remit and work with associated trades Carrying out Electrical Installation Condition Reports Ensure maintenance work is undertaken safely and in accordance with all technical standards Communicate effectively with residents, scheduler and line manager Work safely and in compliance with Health & Safety and safeguarding requirements Remain up-to-date with technical and legal requirements of skill area Working in partnership with other operatives to complete repairs, if required Completing time sheets work sheets detailing work undertaken and materials used after each job undertaken, via a PDA We are looking for a qualified and experienced Electrician (ideally 18th Edition qualified) who can utilise their skills to deliver small projects and repair works as well as someone who has experience of carrying out Electrical Installation Condition Reports.You will hold a full UK diving licence, be confident in managing your own workload and will ideally already have experience of the housing maintenance sector. Alongside this you will be able to effectively communicate with people, ensuring work is always carried out safely.

Multi Trade Operative/Joiner

Here at Wates, we have an opportunity for a Multi Trader/Joiner to join our Living Space team in the Barnsley area. As a Multi Trader/Joiner you will be working on our responsive maintenance contracts for one of our existing social housing providers. The primary focus of this role will be to undertake all tasks to achieve first time fix and deliver a high standard of workmanship in a timely and productive manner always affording excellent customer service to the client. We are particularly interested in hearing from people who have experience in joinery. To qualify for the role, we need you to have a minimum of NVQ level 2 and a full driving licence, Key Accountabilities will include: Undertaking repair/renewal works across several trades identifying the need for other trades to undertake the repair/renewal Advising Supervisor in a timely manner where other trades are required Working in partnership with other operatives to complete projects Completing daily work sheets detailing work undertaken and materials used after each job undertaken Working in a timely and productive manner to complete project Affording excellent customer service to client representatives At all times, work to Wates Health & Safety Professional Standards, including commitment to and understanding of the company’s safeguarding policy towards children and vulnerable adults We are looking for a qualified Multi Trader/Joiner who has joinery/carpentry experience gained from working in a similar industry and environment providing them with the skills to fulfil the above role requirements. To be successful in the role you will be an excellent communicator with the ability to problem solve, multitask and work to tight deadlines.
