Finsbury Park Office

Project Overview

In the summer of 2023, we completed a office fit out in Finsbury Park, London, for our Property Services team. The existing premises had previously contained 16 smaller offices, and the project involved reconfiguring the space to create an open-plan design to accommodate our colleagues relocating from two offices in Enfield and Willesden.

The project has provided our teams with a collaborative working space and reflecting our investment in creating high-quality working spaces for our people.

The office is close to a network of transport links, making it easier for colleagues to commute.

Fit out at pace

A tight schedule and a reliable time management plan was essential to the project’s success.

Over just seven weeks, working together with Jarvis Build Partitions and Centrum Plus, the team transformed the existing building. adding additional meeting rooms and a 350m² kitchen and tea point as a place for colleagues to relax and recharge.

Considerate construction

Internal demolition in an occupied office area requires careful consideration to reduce the impact of the works, particularly when demolishing existing office walls. As with all projects we manage of this nature, we adapted our schedule of works to fit around the people using the space, to minimise disruption while keeping to the project schedule.

Elements of the existing building were also maintained to reduce waste. We preserved the ceiling and repurposed doors and door frames, incorporating these into the new office design. Spare materials we couldn’t allocate were handed back to social enterprise companies, The Spaces to be reused in future projects and all project waste was removed and recycled by Kenny Waste.

Thriving together

Collaborative working is known to help boost innovation and connectivity and can have a lasting positive influence on colleagues. The new space will be used by many colleagues across the Property Services team, bringing together teams that were previously located in separate buildings. Our people’s wellbeing is at the heart of what we do and we believe this new office space will help to improve productivity and communication, leading to an enhanced working environment.
