We transformed the space in just 13 weeks with a full Cat B fit-out, including full LD light power and data cabling access floor, new mechanical installation, and full floor decoration, in keeping with the new contemporary design throughout. We also created a café and gym, significantly upgrading the existing facilities.
After the project was finished, one of our team members was awarded Project Manager of the Year by the customer, demonstrating the excellent level of service we provided.
Harbourside encourages employees to embrace office working, by giving them a productive atmosphere where their wellbeing is considered. It also reflects the city of Bristol that surrounds it; a local artist was commissioned to graffiti artwork onto the lockers in the centre of the building, adding a touch of vibrancy to what is traditionally a featureless space.
Building social value into our projects
We care about communities and are passionate about making a difference to the lives of those around us, a value that we share with Lloyds Banking Group. At Harbourside, we spent £35,000 of our project budget with one of our longest established social enterprise partners, Recycling Lives, which works to change lives through offender rehabilitation, residential support and food distribution.
We also adopt sustainable practices where possible to reduce waste and carefully consider the environment and our impact at every stage. During this project, we resold or donated over 8,000 carpet tiles. Of these, more than 1,700 were donated during our Community Donation Days to community groups and local low income families and the remaining carpet tiles went to Public Health Wales, Newport City Homes, and Hafod Housing.
