We are experts in zero carbon retrofitting for social housing, guiding our customers every step of the way. Through our net zero carbon retrofit service, Wates Retrofit, we’re working with housing providers to install energy saving measures to homes. This service helps to cut fuel poverty and reduce energy costs. 

We have completed retrofit enhancements at over 3,000 homes so far, supporting residents through these essential works, and driving sizable reductions in their fuel bills.

Voids Supervisor

Wates Property Services seeks a well organised and dynamic Voids Supervisor to join our voids maintenance team in the Surrey area. The successful professional will supervise the voids workforce and liaise with client representative(s) to ensure high level maintenance and compliance service at all times.Key Accountabilities will include: Lead, motivate and manage your team to gain optimum performance levels across your contract. Ensure all works orders received are completed within target dates leading to delivery of contractual key performance indicators. Supervise workforce and sub-contractors to ensure compliance with relevant specifications and that that pre and post repairs inspections are carried out. Ensure that large multi-trade jobs are booked in effectively by the scheduling team minimising non-productive operative time. Represent Wates at client meetings and build strong working relationships with all those involved. On-going monitoring of current team highlighting training and development needs along with inducting new staff with the view to them becoming an asset to the business.To be successful in this role you have relevant Voids Maintenance experience as we as be an excellent communicator with the ability to problem solve, multi task and work to tight deadlines.

Fleet Administrator

We have a great opportunity for a Fleet Administrator to join our Wates team within our Responsive Maintenance division. You will be working out of our Croydon office and providing administrative support across one of our divisions which is made up of four of our contracts. Key Accountabilities will include: Amend and improve various Excel trackers to ensure the data can be utilised effectively for data reporting. Support with managing fleet transactions and any changes. Monitor IT equipment allocations and returns. Coordinate meetings when required and greet guests and visitors. Assist with the ordering of Personal Protective Equipment as and when required. Deal with a range of administrative queries that come through to the team. General administrative duties including filing, emailing and photocopying.We are looking for an experienced Administrator who is a confident communicator, highly computer literate (Microsoft suite – Word, Excel etc) and extremely organised. The successful individual will have ideally have worked in the construction and/or maintenance industry but this is not essential.

Repairs Planner

We have an opportunity for a Repairs Planner to join our Wates team within our Responsive Maintenance division. You will be working out of our Lambeth office on one of our social housing contracts, delivering planning for our reactive maintenance appointments.Key Accountabilities will include: Schedule works into diaries for up to 20 operatives daily ensuring diaries are full and immediate attention is given to allocate work to operatives when they become free. Check the system for emergencies and manage within a timely manner to ensure targets are meet Respond to telephone variations by seeking approval from duty surveyor so operatives may continue on the site through to completion Provide a high quality service to our client on a face to face basis Working within a team to achieve goals and targets achieving daily targets of a minimum of 60 allocations each day of new ordersWe are looking for you to have relevant experience gained from working in a similar industry and environment.
